Townsville 8 Ball

Townsville 8 Ball Association Inc. is a non-profitable sporting organisation affiliated to Queensland Eightball Federation(QEBF) and Australian Eight-Ball Federation(AEBF).

The purpose of the association is to promote the sport of 8 ball and act as a representative body in Townsville and Thuringowa region. The association holds weekly leagues catering various levels of players.

Attention b & C grade players - Big chance winning Thursday Pool Comp

Where: South TSVL Bowls Club  When: Every Thurday 6:45pmThis event is run with handicap system. e.g. a C grade player receives 2 balls advantage against a A grader. Once you win the comp, you'll lose one ball advantage for the next 4 weeks participation. 

 

Ranking trials

Series of ranking tournament were held to determine Townsville representative players. Congratulations to all those who made it through. See the attached files for the results.

 

NQ Events Results

NQ women's singles was held on 3rd & 4th July at Atherton Hotel. Congratulations to Temple Larkins for winning this event by beating Colleen Khan 4-3 in the final. See the attached file for the individual's results. NQ women's team trial was held on 31st July & 1st August at Babinda Hotel. In addition to Temple and Colleen the following players made the NQ women's team; Kimiko Kawamura, Christine Wood, Eve Wagner, Sharon Mispelkamp, Jenny Harrigan, Veronica Hill. The first reserve; Cathey Linderidge. QLD team trial will be held on 4th & 5th September at Q-Masters, Brisbane

NQ Open singles was held on 17th & 18th July at Babinda Hotel. Congratulations to Kris "Just Gotta Believe" Jones for winning this event by beating Dave Eaglen 6-4 in the final. See the attachement file for the individual's results.NQ open team trial was held on 7th & 8th August at South Townsville Bowls Club. In addition to Kris and Dave the following players made the NQ open team; Chris Bingley, Rob Munster, Darryl James, Malo Chanfoon, Nick Obedin. The first reserve; Mathew Gartrell. QLD team trial will be held on 28th & 29th August at South Townsville Bowls Club.

 

QLD Events Results

QLD open singles and open team trial were held on 27-29th August as South Townsville Bowls Club. Congratulations to Dane Beeton for winning the singles title. The runner-up was Barry Kitchener. In additions to Dane and Barry, the following players made the QLD team; Bronson Blackmore, Shannon Percell, Rob Munster, Kris Jones, Justin Thursby, Nick Obedin, Duain Bauer. The first reserve; Ben Middleton. The second reserve; Dave Eaglen
